Good morning all,
 I hope your weekend was great with a reminder to be appreciative of what we have thanks to so many who made the ultimate sacrifice...a good friend emailed me and suggested we not say a Happy Memorial Day because of what it represents and I certainly understand her view as I'm sure it is filled with sadness for so many so I am not quite sure how to express what emotions we should be feeling....happy that we are free and live in such a great country, sad for those who gave their lives, and respectful of why we have this special day...so I think each of us will have to decide as it was an interesting perspective...tomorrow and Thursday I will be at 4 schools in Miami so I will leave after work today and return late Thursday night to be back to work Friday....I am sure it will be fun but it has been a crazy moth for me, taking off so much and trying to keep up with work while visiting so many schools...but that is what makes life challenging & fun...to be able to do it all with a smile & enjoying each day...we have to always do our best, enjoy everything we do, live in the present, smile & have fun! Gabe

The three-member Expedition 40 crew is wrapping up its work week with more life science and an investigation into particle impacts on the International Space Station's external surface. On Wed., May 28, a new trio of crew members will lift off to join the three orbiting residents of the station. Soyuz Commander and cosmonaut Maxim Suraev, NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman and ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst will launch aboard the Soyuz TMA-13M spacecraft at 3:57 p.m. EDT (1:57 a.m. May 29 Baikonur time) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Global Selfie: 100+ Countries, Thousands of Photos
 <http://www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/2014-globalselfie-wrap-up/index.html>
On Earth Day this year, NASA asked people all around the world a simple question - "Where are you on Earth Right Now?" We asked people to answer the question on social media, with a selfie. The goal was to use each picture as a pixel in the creation of a "Global Selfie" - a mosaic image that would look like Earth appeared from space on Earth Day. Today NASA is releasing the finished product.

Findings Poke Hole in Black Hole 'Doughnut' Theory
 <http://www.nasa.gov/press/2014/may/nasas-wise-findings-poke-hole-in-black-hole-doughnut-theory/index.html>
A survey of more than 170,000 supermassive black holes, using NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE), has astronomers reexamining a decades-old theory about the varying appearances of these interstellar objects. The unified theory of active, supermassive black holes, first developed in the late 1970s, was created to explain why black holes, though similar in nature, can look completely different. The unified model answers this question by proposing that every black hole is surrounded by a dusty, doughnut-shaped structure called a torus.

SpaceX-3 Science Payloads From ISS Return to Kennedy
 <http://www.nasa.gov/content/spacex-3-science-payloads-return-to-kennedy/index.html>
A trio of science payloads have completed their missions on the International Space Station and returned to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where they'll be turned over to the scientists who designed them. The BRIC-18, Biotube-MICRo and APEX-02-2 investigations were created to answer a variety of biological questions critical to future long duration spaceflight, from the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections
