Good morning all,
 The last two days visit to Miami was fun, a little hectic because of traffic and the long drive but always enjoyable....I would like to than Susana and Emma for all their support as it was difficult with the school year winding down, there were many activities for the kids. It's been a crazy few months as I have been to so many schools  with lots of travelling and whirlwind trips plus the "real  job" :) but all so much fun. I know, for many of you next week is the last week of school and some finish this week so I will wish you a wonderful break. I've always said teachers have the most difficult job in the world and I admire you all so much for what you do, day in and day out. I know so many of you who do it because your heart in in the right place and we all remember our favorite teacher and how they have impacted us for life...so I want you to know you are appreciated more than words can adequately describe and on behalf of so many who truly admire you,  I thank you so much...I hope you will have a fun summer and enjoy whatever you may do or don't do :) We have to remember to always do our best, enjoy everything we do, live in the present, be appreciative of the good in our lives, keep things in perspective, smile & have fun! ISS Crew Enjoys Day Off After Soyuz Launch, Docking

Following a day that saw the launch and docking of three new crewmates, the Expedition 40 crew of the International Space Station enjoyed a day off to recharge for the mission ahead. NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman, Soyuz Commander and cosmonaut Max Suraev of Roscosmos and European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst were welcomed aboard when the hatches between their Soyuz TMA-13M spacecraft and the station were opened at 11:52 p.m. EDT Wednesday.

The Soyuz TMA-13M rocket is launched with Expedition 40 Soyuz Commander Maxim Suraev, of the Russian Federal Space Agency, Roscosmos, Flight Engineer Alexander Gerst, of the European Space Agency, ESA, and Flight Engineer Reid Wiseman of NASA in the early hours of Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. At the Operations and Checkout Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the Orion crew module and heat shield are being moved into position for the mating operation. The heat shield will be tested on Orion's first flight in December, Exploration Flight Test-1 (EFT-1), an uncrewed flight that will put to the test the spacecraft that will send astronauts to an asteroid and eventually Mars on future missions. EFT-1 will launch an uncrewed Orion capsule 3,600 miles into space for a four-hour mission to test several of its most critical systems. After making two orbits, Orion will return to Earth at almost 20,000 miles per hour and endure temperatures near 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit, before its parachutes slow it down for a landing in the Pacific Ocean. Pioneering Space: The Next Steps on the Path to Mars
Over the past four years, NASA has been implementing the NASA Authorization Act of 2010, which was enacted on a broad bipartisan basis and reflects agreement between Congress and the Administration on the nation's next steps in space.  A new paper from our Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) explains NASA's roadmap to send astronauts to an asteroid by 2025 and Mars in the 2030s.
