Good morning all,
 Well, fall has arrived in Central Florida..62F, 17C….brrr….and I will be swimming in an outdoor pool this morning….water temp around 77F, 25C….I am sure all the Florida kids have heavy coats, gloves, and thick hats on their way to school… I’m including the Mars InSight mission info as the deadline to sign up is Nov 1st….I hope you will get as many kids signed up as possible so they can follow along and have some fun with this mission….also will include the link on how to see the ISS as it passes over your home...https://spotthestation.nasa.gov … wishing you all a wonderful day…. we have to always remember to do our best, enjoy everything we do, live in the present, be appreciative of the good in our lives, make each day special, smile & have fun! Another Chance to Put Your Name on Mars

A distant sun-like star may have devoured a dozen or more of its own Earth-size planets, new research shows. Researchers named the star Kronos, after the Titan of Greek mythology who ate his own children out of fears they'd dethrone him, according to a statement <https://www.princeton.edu/news/2017/10/12/devourer-planets-princeton-researchers-dub-star-kronos> from Princeton University. Kronos belongs to a binary star system <https://www.space.com/36078-space-spiral-around-binary-stars-new-views.html>, or double-star system, located 350 light-years from Earth. Astronomers discovered the star's ravenous habits while comparing its chemical composition to that of its stellar twin, named Krios — the Greek Titan god of the constellations and Kronos' older brother. The results showed that Kronos had an unusually high level of rock-forming minerals, suggesting it feasted on roughly 15 Earth masses' worth of rocky planets in its lifetime, according to the study. Technical problems discovered during ground testing of U.S.-built detectors for the European Space Agency’s Euclid astronomy mission will delay the completion of the telescope’s scientific payload, jeopardizing the observatory’s 2020 launch target, the head of NASA’s astrophysics division said last week.
