[Spacetalk] Last Day gabe at educatemotivate.com

Hi all, well as of today I will no longer be employed at KSC but will still have unlimited access by staying in NASA’s  speakers' bureau and involved with the program supporting the differently abled…l have been putting pictures on FB of some of my memories, everyone seems to enjoy looking at them and I certainly do too. Also, I want everyone to know this is not a sad day for me. I am so very, very thankful for the opportunities and the amazing experiences…more than anything probably getting 200-300 teachers, family, & friends for VIP viewing of the launches….sharing it was so much fun and that is what I do at the schools, share the fun of what I experienced, try to make it real for the kids…so I look forward to whatever may be ahead….I want to get more involved with schools and get back to being involved with programs which help kids who are differently abled….I am actually going to a school on Monday….my first day of the start of a new adventure, what better way than at a school…I will be speaking with the 2nd & 3rd graders at Wilson Elementary and am pretty booked through the middle if Dec…if you have previously contacted me about the Great American Teach In and we haven’t set a date, you need to get back with me so we can finalize the visit. So hard to decide on pictures, I’ve spent hours looking at so many, enjoying them all… Atlantis going to Display; shuttle on 747; shuttle coming out of the VAB to the Pad; Crawler, got to spend so much time in it; our batronaut when a bat hung on during a shuttle launch; one of the more fun things touring KSC & CCAFS in my convertible with a special friend, Kat; my buddy Randall on a Tour De KSC bike event and how we changed each others lives while establishing something so amazing, the highlight of my life; the gym where I spent so much time, have met so many wonderful staff & the many interns who shared some fun while being so helpful; I wanted to pick one school picture, it was almost impossible because each is so very, very special….this was the first friend request on FB…it was so much fun…I had just mentioned to the kids that I was on FB, one of the guys found me, showing all his friends and the teacher took this picture…I want the kids to let me in their world, when they do, I know I can be a positive influence…so this represents  the great connection I seem to have; the first launch; walking out of work yesterday, it had been raining badly all day but as I left the sun came out and lit up the VAB… I’m thinking YES, I want this to be how I remember the VAB….and then of course there was the opportunity to go inside Discovery….
